"PIXELS" THE MADE IN FRANCE SHORT FILM THAT INSPIRED "PIXELS" FILM WITH ADAM SANDLER AND PETER DINKLAGE
Tonight, TFX broadcast at 21h Pixels of Chris Columbus released in 2015. It follows the fight of Geeks engaged to save the world from an attack of aliens materialized in characters of old video games of the 80s such as PAC-MAN , Donkey Kong or Galaga.
The film draws heavily on a short film designed by French director Patrick Jean in 2010
In the court, an old television set is abandoned in New York, but it turns on and releases a multicolored cloud of pixels. The cloud is transformed into video games versions of the 80s, in 8-bit, such as aliens Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Tetris blocks or Donkey Kong, all determined to destroy the city. It transform everything they touch into pixels.
It also includes logos of companies of the time appearing in the form of advertisements (Commodore Business Machines, Ocean Software or Psygnosis).
The short film was produced by the French production company One More Production, which produced the clip "Sign Of The Times" by Harry Styles.
As for the director he participated in the writing of the feature film and has since pursued a career in advertising and artistic devices.
