Thanks to its A11 Bionic processor the iPhone X literally explodes all Android smartphones on different benchmark applications. Although this theoretical difference is not necessarily obvious in the real world, it remains important from a symbolic point of view. On November 14, 2017, a fake Geekbench benchmark of the Galaxy S9 appeared on the internet in the form of a malicious screenshot. The image indicated excessively low scores, placing the Galaxy S9 behind the Galaxy S8 in terms of power.

The new flagship runs on Android 8, and ships an Exynos 9810 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Even with less RAM than Note 8 (with 6GB of RAM), the Galaxy S9 scores an impressive 2680 in single-core and 7787 in multi-core.
